The Academy

The Academy offers participants from age 4 to 19 years positive learning and team experiences along with the opportunity to create life-long memories; now consisting of approximately 300 children across the borough. Structured training programmes along with stamina work are set up by F.A qualified football coaches; the sessions are rounded off with small sided games for each group.

We aim to be a premier provider of youth sports experiences and seek to make this experience affordable and available for all interested participants. The Academy now serves participants in two borough schools and two independent schools.

The Academy provides valuable team and social experiences for the increasing population of public and private sector. Flamengo Juniors Academy offers young people the opportunity to participate in team sports throughout the calendar year. Beginning at age 4, these experiences provide a source of recreation and simultaneously improve athletic skills, health and fitness as they offer experiences in teamwork, sportsmanship, fair play, cooperation and leadership. Increased self confidence is just one of the many intangible benefits this program offers.

The Academy is dedicated to presenting sports opportunities that are an integral part of each participant's learning experience. This is done with the belief that every child should be able to participate in the program regardless of race, religion, creed, sex, ability, or financial status. This spirit is fostered in an environment where everyone has a chance to play and learn, regardless of skill. The Academy's long-term goal is to give its participants positive life-long memories of their youth sports experience.
